Hoyle Creek Capital organizes deals, leads investments, and partners with a select group of co-investors. We operate quietly and deliberately — building durable structures around opportunities we know intimately, and holding ourselves to the same standards we ask of the businesses we back.
The Name
Hoyle Creek runs through Major County in northwestern Oklahoma. The land was opened to settlement in 1893, the railroad reached it a decade later, and the town that grew up on the creek was called Hoyle before it took another name. Beneath all of it lies the Ames Structure — a formation buried thousands of meters down that would not give up its value for another century.
The name is a reminder of how value actually accumulates: through land, through the infrastructure built across it, and through what patience eventually uncovers underneath.

Curtis Rice
Founder & Manager
Curtis Rice founded Hoyle Creek Capital in 2005 and leads the firm's investment activity across real estate, venture and growth equity, oil and gas, and power and energy infrastructure.
He brings more than twenty-five years in energy infrastructure, midstream commercial development, and private capital, including senior commercial and business development leadership at large midstream platforms, and earlier roles in natural gas trading, structuring, and derivatives. He has also co-founded and operated companies outside the energy sector.
He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Tulsa and a BS in Finance, Economics, and Accounting from Oklahoma State University, where he serves on the advisory board of the School of Entrepreneurship. He is based in Tulsa.
